Hiroko Yuziuk and DK Puttyroot have brought the ancient and peaceful art of tea ceremony to Burnsville! Before leaving Japan, Hiroko was formally trained in conducting the tea ceremony and is now sharing the tranquil experience with Burnsville where she and her husband live with their two daughters, The Yuziuks own and operate the Garden Deli located on the Town Square.

After being served tea, participants of the ceremony are gently coached in the many rules and rituals of hosting the ceremony themselves. As a part of the ceremony, each guest uses and takes with them a glazed hand thrown bowl produced by a local potter. These bowls are supplied by a local potter through Silent Poetry an art gallery just up the street. The ceremony is performed with small groups and a limited schedule is available upon request.

Call (828) 678-9588 for more information about how you or your party can partake in this fascinating ceremony.

Hiroko also does the Kobo Lanterns sold exclusively by DK Puttyroot.
